How to Easily Switch Between Accounts on InstagramWednesday, February 10, 2016
Do you hear that? That's the sound of social media managers around the world throwing a party because of Instagram's latest update.
In case you haven't heard, Instagram now lets you switch seamlessly between accounts without the added hassle of logging out and logging back in again. As a marketing account manager, this makes my life way more efficient when it comes to daily posting on multiple clients' Instagram accounts. But it's also something that everyone can appreciate because, let's be honest, almost everyone has multiple Instagram accounts these days.
People have accounts for their blogs, shops, dogs, babies, food pictures, gym selfies — you name it, there's a special Instagram account out there for it. And all of these profiles are run by people like you and me who are tired of signing in and out on a regular basis.
Here's how to add another Instagram account, if you're interested:
1. Go to profile settings
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
3. Above Log Out, you'll see Add Account
4. Log in to the account you'd like to add
5. Once the account has been added, you can easily switch back and forth by tapping your Instagram handle at the top of the page.
Let's be honest for a second: it's really not a big deal having to type a few extra characters into our phone every day. In the grand scheme of things, it is most definitely a very minor first world problem, but after years of saying "Hey, wouldn't it be great if...." it's always nice when that thought finally comes to fruition.
What do you think about this update? Is it something you'll use on a regular basis or could you not care less?
